Description

Looking for a reliable and competitively priced way to ship goods from Switzerland to Kenya? Clearon Logistics arranges international air freight for businesses, importers, and individuals who need to transport cargo from Switzerland to Kenya efficiently.

Switzerland is an important source of specialised industrial equipment, machinery, precision instruments, watches, electronics, pharmaceutical products, spare parts, and other commercial goods. Whether you are importing urgent replacement parts for your business, sourcing specialised equipment, or shipping a commercial consignment, we help arrange suitable air cargo transportation based on your shipment requirements.

At Clearon Logistics, we focus on providing competitive air freight pricing and coordinating transportation through established international cargo airline networks. Our goal is to make shipping from Switzerland to Kenya easier to manage while helping you understand the costs and requirements before your cargo is dispatched.

Competitive Air Freight Rates from Switzerland to Kenya

International air freight costs can vary considerably depending on the shipment’s weight, dimensions, cargo type, route, and available airline services. Clearon Logistics works to secure competitive rates for cargo moving from Switzerland to Kenya, helping importers manage transportation costs without compromising on the practical requirements of their shipments.

Our air freight quotations take into account factors such as:

Cargo’s actual gross weight
Package dimensions and volumetric weight
Collection location in Switzerland
Destination airport in Kenya
Cargo description and handling requirements
Available airline routes and schedules
Applicable origin and destination charges

Air freight is generally charged using chargeable weight, which is determined by comparing the actual weight with the volumetric weight. This means a bulky but lightweight shipment may attract higher freight charges than its physical weight alone would suggest.

For an accurate quotation, provide your cargo details, including the number of packages, dimensions, gross weight, and collection location.

What Can You Ship by Air from Switzerland to Kenya?

Air freight is suitable for many types of commercial cargo, particularly when speed, value, or shipment size makes air transportation a practical option.

Depending on applicable transport regulations and airline acceptance requirements, shipments may include:

Industrial machinery and precision equipment
Machine parts and replacement components
Electronics and selected electrical equipment
Watches and other high-value commercial goods
Laboratory and specialised technical equipment
Business supplies and product samples
Selected pharmaceutical and healthcare products
Urgent commercial consignments

Certain goods, including dangerous goods, temperature-sensitive products, and regulated pharmaceutical shipments, may require special packaging, permits, documentation, or handling arrangements. Share the cargo description with us before booking so the applicable requirements can be assessed.

How Air Freight from Switzerland to Kenya Works

Clearon Logistics helps coordinate the transportation process, from assessing your cargo requirements to arranging the freight booking.

1. Share your shipment details

Provide the supplier’s location in Switzerland, cargo description, number of packages, gross weight, and dimensions. If available, include the commercial invoice and packing list. Minimum weight- 45KG

2. Receive a freight quotation

We assess the shipment details and available transportation options to provide a quotation based on the applicable freight rates and service requirements.

3. Confirm the shipping arrangement

Once you accept the quotation, the freight booking and transportation arrangements can proceed according to the agreed terms.

4. Coordinate shipment movement

We coordinate the freight arrangements through the relevant cargo transportation network. Collection, export handling, and other origin services depend on the agreed scope of service.

5. Arrange customs clearance in Kenya

When required, Clearon Logistics can also assist with customs clearance and related import logistics in Kenya. Import documentation, permits, duties, VAT, and other applicable charges depend on the goods being imported.

Why Choose Air Freight?

Air freight is particularly useful when waiting for sea freight would create unnecessary delays or business costs.

For example, imagine a Kenyan manufacturer needs a specialised machine component from Switzerland to restore production. Waiting for sea transportation may mean extended downtime, while air freight could provide a faster alternative, subject to the available route and schedule.

Air freight may also be appropriate for smaller consignments where the speed of delivery is more important than achieving the lowest possible freight cost.

However, the best option depends on your circumstances. For heavier or bulkier shipments, it may be worth comparing air freight with sea freight where suitable services are available.

What Determines the Cost of Air Freight?

Before importing, it is important to distinguish the international air freight charge from the total cost of getting your goods released and delivered in Kenya.

Your overall expenditure may include:

International air freight
Collection and export handling, where applicable
Airway bill and documentation charges
Destination airport handling
Customs clearance fees
Import duty, VAT, and applicable levies
Inspection or permit-related charges, where applicable
Storage charges if the cargo is not collected within the applicable free period
Final delivery within Kenya, if requested

Not every shipment attracts every charge. The final amount depends on the cargo, applicable regulations, and the services included in your quotation.

Clearon Logistics can help you coordinate the freight arrangement and related logistics services so you can plan your import costs more effectively.
